WORLD VISION 2011: Count Me In! Sponsor a Child today!

Last Wednesday, June 8, 2011, World Vision, In its effort to get shoppers to hear about World Vision’s work of helping children in poor, they conducted another event to invite new sponsors for 2011. Held at the Trinoma Activity Center, they invited some popular TV Personalities to graced the event. Dubbed as “Count Me In”, World Vision launched a campaign to get more individuals and groups to sponsor children and be counted among the more than 22,000 existing Pinoy sponsors who are changing lives today. Through world Vision, over 36,000 children are able to stay in school. Their families continue to receive livelihood assistance and their communities are now closer to self-sustainability than ever before! All these were made possible because of Pinoys who willingly took up the fight against poverty.

This years’ target is to get 11,000 new child sponsors for 2011— that’s 11k for 2011.

So many children in very poor areas pray to be able to enter school this June, let’s be the answer to their prayers.

Derek Ramsay supports this year's 2011 goals.

Help us challenge the public to say “Count me in!” and help a child in need today. Some of the famous TV/Movie Personalities who showed support and act as ambassadors of hope as well are Derek Ramsay, Sam Milby, Chris Tiu, Nikki Gil and Julius Babao and Tintin Bersola Babao.
There are activities in the event where I was able to tour all of the booths. I was able to watched all of the video from Derek and Nikki.

Also there’s this P50 peso challenge wherein I had to budget P50 pesos for the entire day and that’s for a member of 5 in the family.

According to them, that is the ideal budget of some poor families here in our country that needs our help. I can imagine how hard it is to struggle for food in the table, heartbreaking.
